More than That

It is that time of the year where all shops have sales on top of sales killer deals to make all shopaholics sober.It is an amazing time to get those killer  heals or sneakers.Children line up to meet Santa an illusion or real they still run to seat on Santa's lap.

There is the magic of Christmas holidays that make people crave the affection and company of their loved ones.This does not  even pay respect to the fact that we do not even spend half of the year talking to those we love to spend the holiday with.There is the longing of the lonely  to connect with others and spend sometime caring about someone other than themselves.Co-workers and families shop on credit or cash all joining ques at mall tills to do holiday shopping.I definitely love to  get presents but stop or a while and reflect if that is all Christmas is all about.Is Christmas a time of giving gifts upon gifts?Are the credits we take on the holiday worth the real meaning of Christmas?

I would like us to look back and reflect on the authenticity of our actions.All these make up a great holiday gifts,families and all that  make it all worth while but let us not end there let us care for others,share with strangers,hope for world peace(as ambiguous as that sounds),lets take a minute and invite the guest of honour the one whose birthday we are celebrating.

After all is said done lets walk by the beach,laugh out loud,eat for the next year and love even more.Most importantly let us not forget the honour of the feast because without Him it would be a meaningless celebration.Enjoy your holiday!!

In The Night

Sometimes there is the voice that only comes out in the night,there is the ssilence in the night that even in it,we can hear our hearts break silently within us,Sometimes it is in the tears we fight so hard, that we find ourselves.

In the night when no one is watching is when we can hear the quick and sharp whisper of what we really aspire for,

It is in the night that we let go of our shame,pain and every name we have been called that did not fairly define us,

In stillness of the night we move closer beyond what we know and closer to the truth,It is the night when we move closer to the one who created us acknowledging everything as secondary.

In the dark,we find our definition,See it is not in what our father or mother said about us,it is not in the many people who wrote as off,it is not in the pretentious restrictions imposed by others on us,

That moment only the peace of the night matters!

Away from the limelight and distractions we can practice in private how to stand up to the light.

In the night,we can learn who we are and how great we indeed are so when the day comes,we can confidently walk into it like a bullet after the trigger is pulled!!

Letting Go

I was browsing on topics to write about and one stack out.Sometimes even the "greatest minds experience mental blocks" at least that is what i tell myself.I think as easy as the topic letting  may seem the action itself is another bridge few people dare to cross.

I have told myself plenty of times that I am the kind of lady who knows when to let go but believe you me that is not always  the case.It is very easy for someone to hold onto destructive relationships because that is what they would consider their 'normal'. See it is not about when or how it is basically harder to venture out  into the unknown even when you know letting go is the best bet.Sounds paradoxical when we are always encouraged to stick it out especially when It comes to our dreams and relationships.

The truth is as much as we still dream of being great super heros, or inventing sometimes we need to know  when to just let go gracefully whether relationships, jobs or whatever we  see as our stumbling block.Im i saying we should be realistic with our dreams?No ways!!Letting go of certain elements that stop as from arriving at our destination is what i am implying.The negatives we grew up with or the hurt we experienced are the elements I am on about.

The imminent truth is we have to throw in the towel  sometime and admit  that there are better things worth holding on to. what are you letting go?

Launch out to the deep

It has been said that what scares us the most is the unknown.Is it some antagonistic philosophical statement?Whether it is starting a new relationship or starting a new career there is always the inability to predict what next.I have hesitated so many times to launch out simply because in my well planned life sapontaneous is alien.So today i want to dare myself and go way to the deep end and see if the grass is greener on the other side or is it just a selling point.so go ahead and dare yourself!!Let me know what you think about the topic!
